Objectives

2.1 Overview

Syntax highlighting is implemented for selected TCAD Sentaurus tools. For syntax highlighting to work, jEdit must recognize the extension of the command file as an appropriate Sentaurus command file. The file extensions of the TCAD Sentaurus tools are assumed to be as follows:

Tool File extension
Sentaurus Process _fps.cmd
Sentaurus Structure Editor _dvs.cmd
Sentaurus Device _des.cmd
Inspect _ins.cmd
Sentaurus Interconnect _sis.cmd
EMW _eml.cmd

If you use Sentaurus Workbench to create project and command files, these files will already use these extensions.

2.2 Syntax Highlighting in Sentaurus Process

For syntax highlighting in a Sentaurus Process command file to work, some additional conditions on the placement of spaces around keywords must be met:

2.8 Changing Highlight Colors

You can customize highlight colors using the graphical user interface of jEdit.

To change highlight colors:

  1. Utilities > Global Options (or Ctrl+F12).
  2. In the dialog box that is displayed, select jEdit > Syntax Highlighting (see Figure 5).

Here, each category of highlighting can be assigned a different color.
